A chilly - 30 C... The Baffin team skied for about six and a half hours and reached the pole at 4:30 p.m. They'll remain there through Saturday so stay tuned for photos and dispatches...

The Team Has Left!

Doug and his team of explorers (Paul Hubner, and his two sons Mark and Brent Hubner) have departed for Barneo and are ready to begin their journey across the ice to the North Pole. They will probably travel about 90 miles, and expect to arrive at the pole in approximately a week's time.
